Kerry sings and plays keys, Brian plays guitar, and between them Cherry Duo can sound like a five-piece or strip back to plain acoustic accompaniment. Both are long-serving players who have been through plenty of bands. The set covers rock and roll, swing, ballads, pop, rockabilly and instrumentals, with the 50s and 60s well represented and later decades layered on top. Line dancers get looked after with Achy Breaky Heart, Neon Moon and Nutbush. There are instrumentals too, Apache among them. The duo are insured, carry police checks for aged care venues, and bring their own PA, lighting and backup gear.
