Cherrylane

Seven musicians make up this Hobart cover band, formed in 1996 and based in Tasmania. Two lead vocalists share the front of the group, trading verses and harmonies across a set that runs from thirties jazz through sixties soul to seventies disco and up-to-date dance tracks. Behind them sits a rhythm section built on drums, percussion and bass, with keyboard, guitar and a saxophonist rounding out the sound. Corporate bookings on the band's list include the Hobart Cup, the Taste of Tasmania and conferences for Microsoft and Westpac. The line-up also plays weddings and public venues around the state.
