Chosani Afrique plays Senegalese M’Balax dance music from a Sydney base. Percussionist Pape M’Baye features in the ensemble, which combines instruments such as balafon, sabar and djembe with guitar, bass and drums. The band brings West African rhythms into a live dance setting, with traditional and electric instruments sharing the sound.
