Master percussionist Pape M'Baye features in this Sydney-based West African dance band, which specialises in Senegalese M'Balax rhythms. Traditional instruments including the balafon, fula, sabar and djembe sit alongside guitar, bass and drums, giving the group a sound that draws on West African musical culture while staying built for a live band setting.
