Chris Poulsen

An instrumental three piece with no vocalist to hide behind, which forces the writing to carry everything. The Chris Poulsen Trio pull funk, fusion, Latin and bebop into original Brisbane jazz that has picked up a sizeable following. The stage presence is energetic rather than polite, and there's enough colour and texture in the arrangements to hold an audience that didn't arrive as jazz listeners. They play weddings, cocktail functions, corporate events, special occasions and venue bookings.
