Clio Cresswell is a keynote speaker from New South Wales.
Clio Cresswell studied visual art before turning to mathematics, going on to complete a mathematics degree at the University of New South Wales, win the University Medal and finish a PhD, with a spell working as an actuary in between. Her book, Mathematics and Sex, was published locally before editions followed in North America, the UK and Europe. Media work has run alongside the academic side of her career, including a regular seat on the Brains Trust for ABC TV's The Einstein Factor, book reviews for Radio National's Science Show, a stint hosting Triple M breakfast radio and a long-running magazine column. She also serves as an Australia Day Ambassador.
