Brazilian rhythm meets electronic production in this Fremantle-based DJ and live percussionist's sets, layering djembe, bongos and other world percussion over deep house and melodic techno grooves. Afro House and organic beats run through the mix as much as programmed tracks, so a set moves between the two rather than staying purely electronic. Founder of the music project Mistika, the act draws on years playing festivals, clubs and cultural events across a career rooted in Brazil's musical traditions. The percussion is played live over the mix rather than sampled in, which keeps each set distinct from the last.
