Colin Lane

Half of the comedy duo Lano and Woodley, Melbourne performer Colin Lane helped build a television series that aired in more than thirty countries and a stage act that won the Perrier Award at the Edinburgh Fringe. The pair's farewell tour in 2006 took in 34 towns and drew more than 125,000 people before they wound up as a double act. Solo work since has run through cabaret, comedy festivals and theatre, including a Gilbert and Sullivan spoof with David Collins from The Umbilical Brothers. Screen credits since have taken in The Project, Spicks and Specks and Good News Week, plus a 2013 guest panellist spot on the UK's QI alongside Stephen Fry and Alan Davies. He rejoined Frank Woodley for a surprise reunion in 2016, leading to a new show that won the 2018 Melbourne Comedy Festival's People's Choice Award.
