Commonside

Early 2000s Britain is where Commonside's story begins, a period that included supporting the Kaiser Chiefs among other touring acts of the time. Founder Andy Cartwright made the move to Australia in 2012, setting the band up again from a Gold Coast base. Several EPs and singles have followed since, with a full album planned for later release. Indie rock sits at the centre of the sound, though the material drifts into neighbouring genres rather than staying locked to one. That two-country history gives the band a longer arc than most acts working the same local circuit.
