Con Whelan plays traditional country the old way. Just a guitar and a voice, no backing tracks, which has become rare in country music. His passion runs to Slim Dusty, Wilf Carter and Hank Williams, and the set mixes those covers with songs he's written himself. Solo work suits pubs, clubs, weddings and any room where people want to hear the words. Based at Nubeena in Tasmania.
