A skanking horn line meets an experienced bass and drum foundation in Crucial Rockers. Jamie Searle, known as Choppa Crucial, leads the group from the bass. His previous musical associations include Wayne McArthur, Barry Isaacs, Tony Boots, Ini Oneness and UK Players. Other members of the rhythm section have played in the award winning Afro-Kreo ensemble. Put together, the musicians concentrate on Jamaican reggae and its unmistakable offbeat pulse. The format is a live band performance, with horns adding lift above the groove and the rhythm players carrying the music underneath.
