Cruz Day plays house and disco with a real respect for the people who made it first, blending old-school dance energy into contemporary material. The sets are groove driven and the aim is connection rather than spectacle, which makes for intimate dance floors even in a big room. He wants to champion the underground and give overlooked records somewhere to be heard, and his approach to a set is to bring people in with what they know before showing them what they don't.
