Circus and dance pulled into one company, with costume design treated as part of the act rather than something bought afterwards. Dance Circus works out of Sydney across roving, stage and illuminated shows, and builds pieces to suit a theme when an event calls for something specific. Over 20 years of work here and overseas sits behind that, and they collaborate with circus and dance artists from around the country, which is how the line-up shifts depending on what a booking needs. Physical theatre runs through most of it. So the roving sets tend to hold a room rather than just decorate it, and the illuminated work turns into the thing everyone photographs once the venue lights come down.
