Food is the throughline of Dani Venn's public career, from a finalist run on MasterChef Australia in 2011 through a return for All Stars the following year and a further appearance on MasterChef: Back to Win. A Sri Lankan-inspired range of simmer sauces followed in 2020, developed with Coles and starting with a pineapple curry sauce that had been picked out as a winning dish during her time on the show. Venn has hosted her own program, Weekend Feast, appeared on Studio 10 and Everyday Gourmet, and worked in breakfast radio on Nova FM. She has served as an ambassador for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and OARA. Her cooking has taken her from catering large events, including a 400-person gathering in Mumbai, to writing recipes for food companies.
