Green Faces was where it began for Daniel Connell: a 2009 emerging comedian competition he won the Canberra heat of before placing third nationally. He became a regular on Canberra's comedy scene, appearing at the Civic Pub Comedy Club and the Phoenix Pub, before moving to Melbourne in 2010. A year later he was picked for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival's Comedy Zone lineup of up-and-coming acts, and he has gone on to write and perform a fresh stand-up hour at six comedy festivals running. In 2017 he made his debut on the ABC's Oxfam Gala broadcast from the festival and toured Australia and Asia as part of the MICF Roadshow. His style is dry and observational, built on everyday, often unexpected material. Connell has appeared on Have You Been Paying Attention?
