Danté Knows

Brooklyn shaped Danté Knows before Sydney became home. Reggae, dancehall and bass-heavy trap run through the DJ's sets, and further layers come from Lil Wayne on one side and Vybz Kartel on the other, plus a streak of psychedelic rock. That range of reference points gives the sets their genre-bending character rather than settling into one lane. Beyond the decks, Danté has walked runways for Vfiles during New York Fashion Week, with magazine features in GQ and Complex, plus Rolling Stone, alongside campaigns for Gucci, Polo Ralph Lauren, Hermes, Nike and Burberry. Closer to home, Danté runs a monthly night, Pass the Mic, staged with Bodega Collective as a partner, built to give fifteen young musicians and performers a turn in front of a packed room of hip-hop fans and industry.
