Darkrose

The featured instrument is the didgeribone, a cross between a didgeridoo and a trombone. Two tubes, one sliding inside the other, so the pitch moves the way a trombone's does and the range opens up well past what a standard didgeridoo can reach. The final note lands considerably louder too. DarkRose sets that sound against modern western music, with the aim of taking Indigenous Australian music somewhere new and giving younger Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians something to build on. Works across festivals, corporate events, roving, kids' shows, hip hop and party sets. Based in Sydney.
