De la mer

De la mer combines electronic drums, samples, synthesizers and piano accordion in a Perth duo. Sam Riseborough and Nikki D'Agostino build layered, loop-driven sets that draw on chillout house, nu-jazz and Ibiza-style lounge sounds. Original compositions and improvised fusion sit alongside covers of Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation, Air, Moby, Groove Armada and Jakatta, reworked into that same instrumental style. The result suits dinner music, cocktail events, Sunday sessions and bar settings where ambience matters as much as rhythm. A third member, DJ Ned Robles, brings a second keyboard and a set of decks when the pair expand to a trio.
