Dean Nash is a singer-songwriter.
Songwriting sits at the centre of this artist's work, alongside screenwriting and theatre making. The catalogue runs from alt rock and punk in the early years through to a folk-leaning singer-songwriter sound today, and the range shows in the projects: a co-written 2021 concept musical, "The Breaths in Between", made with a Naarm production company, and a musical comedy cabaret, "Dean, Don't Dance", built from stories, jokes and original songs about navigating the performing arts as a disabled person. That show has toured, most recently to the Old Fitz Theatre in January 2026. A solo EP, "In the Autumn", followed in 2021, and a single, "Leather Wallet", in 2023. Co-writing with other artists and bands runs alongside the solo material, though songwriting remains the first love.
