Ten pieces, three distinct shows, and a horn section that earns its keep. Detroit built their Motown set around Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, The Supremes, Jackie Wilson, The Four Tops and The Jackson 5. The Soul Funk Review leans harder, into James Brown, Earth Wind and Fire, Tower of Power and Stevie Wonder. Then there's the Big Band Swing show, with Michael Buble, Natalie Cole, Sarah Vaughan and Harry Connick Jr. Each one is themed and arranged to sit close to the original recordings rather than loosely gesture at them. Beyond that the repertoire runs through blues, funk, jazz and reggae. Smaller Brisbane rooms can book the same band as a solo, duo, trio, quartet or anything from five up to the full ten.
