Representing Australia at LA's G'Day celebrations and recording an original EP with Rufus, of Rufus and Chaka Khan, both followed in 2006, some years ahead of a run on The Voice that reached the top eight, remembered for a rendition of Beyonce's Love on Top alongside the blues standard Stormy Monday. Universal Music Australia signed Diana Rouvas afterwards, releasing the single Heart of Goodbye, co-written with producer Louis Schoorl and produced further by Sermstyle in the US.
