DJ KL

A guitarist first, then a keyboard and synth player in local Perth bands, DJ KL found a second calling once the early-nineties rave scene took hold. In his DJ work, house, disco, techno and hip-hop remain the styles of choice, played out everywhere from weddings and corporate parties to street festivals and warehouse raves. Perth's club map carries the history: Flying Scotsman, Rosemount Hotel, The Bird, Funk Club, The Garden, The Manor, Double Lucky, PICA Bar, Geisha, DCs, Players and Greenwich Bar have all hosted a set, alongside an appearance at the Perth International Arts Festival. Clancy's Fish Pub, Pirate Life Brewery, Ronnie Nights in Fremantle and the Brisbane Hotel have hosted residencies, and since 2011 an experimental side has found a home with the Ambient Zone collective on RTRFM 92.1.
