DJ Naru

Naru DJs and produces hip hop out of Melbourne, drawing on 90s jazzy hip hop and funk. Her own production leans dreamy over hip hop beats, a sound she's developed since moving into making music rather than only playing it. She came over from Japan in 2012 and has supported the local dance battle scene ever since, bringing together her two passions of dancing and DJing. Playing for dancers teaches a different kind of timing, and it shows.
