Sam Carter performs as DJ Neo from a Perth base, performing at corporate functions, celebrations and private occasions. Drum and bass is a favourite genre, though the working set list stretches into soul, funk, nineties hip hop, RnB, deep house and Detroit techno once he reads what a crowd actually wants. Taking the microphone and MCing a large room sits alongside the DJ work itself rather than as a separate skill. Perth dates have included Harbourside Freo, Crown Perth, The Waiting Room and The Merrywell; further afield there have been Melbourne bookings too, at venues and festivals including Brown Alley, The Espy, Blackcat, The Workshop and St Kilda Festival, plus a night at E55.
