DJ Raptor is a DJ from Newtown, New South Wales.
Psytrance is the foundation of a DJ Raptor set, stretched at times into progressive and tribal deep house across sessions that can run up to nine hours. Based in Newtown, Lui has been part of the Sydney psytrance scene since 1995, building nights such as Full Circle and the Session parties before helping launch the long running weekly night Re-Bound. Raptor has played the Rainbow Serpent Festival across four consecutive years as well as shows in Brisbane. Residencies have included Sutra at Taylor Square and Evolve at ARQ, keeping the same driving, trance focused sound across club and festival bookings alike.
