DJ Salami
Based in Sydney
About this act
More than fifteen years of Sydney parties behind him, and DJ Salami has been at the centre of some of the better ones. He started at Goodgod Small Club hosting the Jingle Jangle parties, pulling out strange world records from the pre-internet era and sending rooms into a state. Then he opened his own left-field dance spot, Freda's, and it was there, at an Italo disco party, that Smokey LaBeef became DJ Salami and the name stuck. The sets run from new club anthems through outsider house to proto techno. He also hosted nights there with some of the best DJs in the world.
