Django Untrained

Gypsy jazz is the starting point for this Brisbane quintet, not the finish. Django Untrained pull in Balkan folk and European jazz alongside it, then push the whole thing somewhere more modern than a straight repertory band would. The result still swings the way the style demands, but it doesn't sound like a museum piece. Good fit for a function that wants live music with real character in it rather than background wallpaper.
