One person, several instruments, and a loop pedal doing the work of a band. Dom Diaz stacks soulful vocals, beatboxing, guitar, piano and trumpet into arrangements that pull from reggae, pop, hip hop, Afro and house. Sydney based. It works as chilled background music or as something that fills a dancefloor, and the shift between the two happens inside the set rather than between bookings. Genuinely funky, and more sound than one performer has any right to make.
