Ten pieces, four of them horns. Bandleader Rich assembled Dr Soul from some of Perth's best players, and the sound is built on vocal harmonies, brass lines that carry across a room, and a rhythm section that sits exactly where it should. The set lists pull from Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, Dusty Springfield, Tina Turner, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, Average White Band, Amy Winehouse, Ray Charles, Sam and Dave and the Jackson 5, then bring it forward with Beyonce, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and Alicia Keys. There are dedicated Tina Turner and Commitments runs in there too. The band supplies and operates the full PA. You supply a safe performance space and reliable power.
