Dylan Alcott

Wheelchair basketball brought Dylan Alcott his first Paralympic gold, at the 2008 Beijing Games, followed by silver in London in 2012. A switch to tennis brought a further Paralympic gold in quad singles at Tokyo, and in 2021 he became the first male player in any form of tennis to complete a Golden Slam. He was named Australian of the Year in 2022 and made an Officer of the Order of Australia, retiring from competition after that year's Australian Open. Off court, he founded the Dylan Alcott Foundation to fund scholarships and grants for Australians with a disability, co-founded the disability inclusion consultancy Get Skilled Access, and created Ability Fest, a fully accessible music festival. He has also written the autobiography Able and holds several media roles across television, radio and podcasting.
