Gypsy jazz and straight jazz sit alongside bossa nova, tango, forro and samba, and Italian music finds its way in too. Rather than playing these styles as museum pieces, the approach folds in a modern twist, so a bossa nova or a tango can carry a more current feel without losing its original shape.
