Electric Ginger

Electric Ginger is the disco-pop alter ego of singer, songwriter and producer Greg Townley, working out of a farm studio at Far Meadow on the NSW South Coast. He writes, records and plays most of it himself, with a small circle of collaborators. The sound sits between synth-driven pop, cheeky electro and guitar-flavoured nostalgia: falsetto hooks, 80s synths and dance floor energy, with humour on top and something genuine underneath. The 2019 self-titled debut was followed by It's A Yes From Me, and the video for the single Use Me went into rotation on MTV, with Jonny Sonic of The Potbelleez among the collaborators. Festivals include Fairgrounds, SurfLife and Distilled, and his songwriting has featured on Bondi Rescue and other Australian television.
