Rebecca Randall fronts Empress + Aces, a Melbourne rock band working through classic and modern covers with plenty of volume behind them. The set takes in Baby Animals, AC/DC, Jet, Tina Turner and Alanis Morissette, and the musicianship underneath is tight enough that none of it sounds approximate. Polished on stage without losing the edge. Pubs, clubs and festivals all suit, and the room usually ends up singing along whether it meant to or not.
