Black String Puppet Theatre

Michael and Regina Wolf's Black String Puppet Theatre presents hand-carved marionettes on a travelling stage. Michael learnt puppet carving in Germany before developing the Perth company's work. The puppets perform variety-style routines, with characters including a magician, an acrobat and a weightlifter. School visits can include a demonstration of how a marionette is assembled and operated, along with time to ask questions. The company brings its own stage, lighting and sound for performances in a suitable covered space.
