Lip Bandits is a Sydney ensemble combining brass with percussion for roving entertainment. Trumpeter Steve Gresson, trombonist Dan Barnett and tuba player Carolyn Johns perform alongside Blair Greenberg on djembe and percussionist Jess Ciampa. The group plays in costume and interacts with the crowd, bringing its music into festival and event spaces. Its members draw on work across jazz, orchestral music and percussion groups, while the Lip Bandits format puts them together in a mobile ensemble.
