About this act
Doudoumba brings West African percussion to events through live shows and participatory workshops. Led by drummer Philippe Lincy and based in Sydney, the ensemble performs for festivals, weddings, business functions and cultural celebrations. Its appearances include WOMAD, Woodford and Parramasala, alongside collaborations and support performances with international artists. Rhythm drives the performance, while the workshop format gives audiences an opportunity to take part. Organisers can discuss a presentation suited to a stage programme or a more interactive event.
