Jaspora

Jaspora are a six-piece band based in Derrimut, playing reggae, soca and calypso alongside other African and Indian Ocean influences. Guitar, keyboards, bass and drums support shared vocals, with improvisation part of the live performance. Their repertoire also draws on soukous and Mauritian sega. The band perform at festivals, pubs, clubs and celebrations, bringing several rhythmic styles together within a full-band show built around singing and instrumental grooves.
