Adelaide band The Timbers combine folk and roots music with Celtic influences, brass and punk energy. Their debut album Lawless arrived in 2014, followed by Restless in 2016. The group have performed at festivals around Australia, including Port Fairy Folk Festival, and shared line-ups with artists such as John Butler Trio and Steve Earle. Their live sound centres on forceful rhythms and ensemble melodies drawn from those different musical traditions.
