Bush dancing is only part of Blackberry Jam's performance. The Melbourne band can also bring out a didgeridoo, a musical saw or its Emily the Emu character, with Australian songs running through the programme. Ray and Jennie Simpson and Chris Lazzaro combine singing with a wide range of instruments, and call or demonstrate dances for the audience. Their work covers school and community events as well as weddings and conferences, with the programme planned around the people taking part.
