The Syncopators

The Syncopators are a Melbourne jazz group founded by Chris Ludowyk in 1984. Their music ranges from traditional jazz to rhythm and blues, with harmony singing alongside the instrumental arrangements. Several players switch instruments, allowing the group to vary its sound and offer smaller acoustic or roving combinations. Originally called the Society Syncopators, the ensemble has performed at Australian and European jazz festivals. Concert and cabaret appearances can include solo features, while trio and quartet formats suit different event settings.
