Verchovyna Ukrainian Dance Ensemble

Verchovyna presents Ukrainian dance through regional costumes, choreography and athletic movement. The Melbourne ensemble's performances combine turns and lifts with leaps, tumbling and Cossack style kicks. Established in 1966, the company has performed in Australia and overseas, with a senior dance troupe at the centre of its event work. Weddings, festivals and corporate functions are among its settings, bringing several Ukrainian dance traditions together within one staged performance.
