Funk Buddies are an eight-piece Melbourne band playing street funk in the New Orleans tradition. They perform live with acoustic instruments and can work either on an amplified stage or as a mobile group. The stage format uses a PA and full drum kit, while the street version lets the musicians move around an event. Their music concentrates on rhythmic ensemble playing, with both indoor functions and outdoor settings in mind.
