Eric the Elf is enthusiastic about making presents, even when his methods make little sense. Played by Danny Diesendorf, the Melbourne Christmas character combines balloon creations and juggling with a unicycle and improvised comedy. He can rove among guests or present a 30-minute stage performance. Diesendorf brings theatre and clown training to the role, using Eric's innocent, muddled approach to involve children and adults in his efforts to get the job done.
