Harissa Bellydance Duo

Alia and Pamela perform as Harissa, a Melbourne bellydance duo combining traditional Middle Eastern styles with contemporary cabaret. Their repertoire includes veil work, finger cymbals, sword balancing and cane dance, with costumes selected for each presentation. The pair has performed at restaurants, weddings, community functions and nightclubs. Folkloric and cabaret formats offer different approaches to an event, and musicians can be arranged alongside the dancers. Harissa’s experience includes a Melbourne performance with Macedonian musician Ferus Mustafov.
