Stilt Elephants

Stilt Elephants is a Melbourne act inspired by the long-legged elephants in Salvador Dali's artwork. Standing around three metres tall, the costumed creatures move slowly through the crowd, creating a surreal animal presence. Their design emphasises extended legs and a gentle, floating style of movement. The elephants have appeared at Viva Victoria in Federation Square, where they formed part of the festival's public entertainment. The act brings a large sculptural costume to life through roaming character performance.
