Calypso Mama

Steelpan gives Calypso Mama's solo performances their Caribbean sound. Based in Brisbane's West End, she draws on calypso, reggae, Latin music and familiar pop songs, with sets that can accompany conversation or move towards dancing. Her acoustic setup also works outdoors without electricity. Experience with Pantastic Steelband sits alongside solo events, school visits and workshops, and she has performed at festivals, carnival parades and private functions across Australia.
