Kristine Karahalios sings with Black Fedora Jazz, an Adelaide quintet combining saxophone, piano, guitar and percussion. Standards share the repertoire with soul songs and newer material given a jazz treatment. A set can stay relaxed for drinks or dinner, then shift towards swing, soul and funk for dancing. The band performs at wedding receptions, cafés and lounge bars as well as corporate events, with appearances at Mount Barker's jazz festival among its live work.
