Resonator guitar, lap steel and harmonica are among the sounds in Mike de Velta's solo performances. The Fremantle musician combines vocals with acoustic instruments and stomp-box rhythm, drawing on Delta and Piedmont blues, folk, jazz and Indian ragas. His recorded work includes On a Backdrop of Silence and Frontline. Festival appearances have taken him to Bridgetown, Nannup and Fairbridge, with radio performances and international shows also part of his musical background.
