Opalesque blends tribal belly dance with Indian and flamenco influences. The Brisbane company offers troupe performances or individual acts, using costuming and props such as swords to shape the show. Founded in 2009, the group has appeared at festivals, community events and private functions in Queensland and interstate. Workshops are another part of its work. Each performance draws on the dancers' different backgrounds while keeping a shared tribal fusion style.
