Grand WaZoo are a thirteen-piece soul band led by John Montesante. Founded in 1981 and based in St Kilda, the group perform with ten instrumentalists and three singers, keeping the full line-up for their arrangements. Their repertoire centres on 1960s and 1970s soul, including less familiar selections and original material. A horn section and rhythm section support the vocalists in shows for festivals, functions and concert audiences.
